These terms apply when you download, try or buy Redact Guard (“the app”). By using the app you agree to them.
Trial
You may use the full app free of charge for 14 days to decide whether it suits you. After the trial, a license is required to keep using it.
License
When you buy Redact Guard you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on up to two Macs that you personally use, for work or private purposes. You can move the license to another Mac by deactivating it on one of them first. The license does not expire and includes all future updates.
You may not:
- share, resell or publish your license key;
- redistribute, rent or sublicense the app;
- remove or work around the license check.
Teams that need licenses for several people should buy one license per person, or contact us.
No guarantee of detection
Redact Guard uses on-device text recognition and pattern matching to find secrets. Recognition is not perfect: a secret can be missed, or ordinary text can be covered. Always look at an image before you share it. You remain responsible for what you share.
Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including data exposure or loss, arising from the use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
Payments and refunds
Orders are processed by Polar, our merchant of record, whose terms apply to the purchase. See the refund policy.
Changes
We may update these terms, for example when new features are added. The date at the top shows the latest version.
