Hi, I'm Duc Trung Mai (Mai Trung Đức in Vietnamese). I'm a software developer, and I make Redact Guard on my own.

The idea is simple. Most of us take a screenshot of a terminal, a dashboard or a checkout page, paste it into Slack, a GitHub issue or an AI chat, and only then look at what's in it. Cropping or covering things by hand works when you remember to do it. I wanted something that remembers for me, runs entirely on my Mac and never sends my screenshots anywhere. That's Redact Guard.

What that means for you

  • It's an independent app made by one person. When you email support, I'm the one who reads it and answers.
  • It makes money from one thing: the license you buy. No subscription, no ads, no analytics, and your data is never part of the deal.
  • Bug reports and ideas go straight to the person who can fix them. What changed in each version is in the changelog.
